Dearest Amy- It is a really a tour of force to get any internaut's attention span halted long enough to want to read a same author again. Computers keep you busy flying around and around, so much to see, read, hear and do- but your quiet sort of humor, entertaining, intelligent, and....EDUCATIONAL, really greatly attracted me and finally I started copying all your pages to another computer I have in my bedroom which has no internet connection, so as to be able to really savor and flavor you- I mean your writings.Fun, you are fun! And thanks!

Dear Amy,I read your articles in Japan Times, and found your website. I remember an article about language mis-uses. Now, same appears to happen with your articles on the web, when translated from english to french by alta-vista translator: the latest columns becomes "the most dead columns", and the bullet train is translated into the "balls train". Is this a kind of self-humor?!
