on Shiraishi Island, an island of 800 people, in Japan's Inland Sea.
As the writer of 'Japan Lite', she attempts to explain some of the

She was named after Frank Sinatra for his blue eyes. Frank was once
dyed green for St. Patrick's Day. Frank has an unusaual habit of flying

is 80-something and is one of the colorful characters on the island.
She likes to sing to the sea and talk about sex. She has 7 children.

Priest

Mr.
Norimi is the Buddhist Priest on the island. He advises Amy on
matters of Buddhism and Shintoism.
